He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and began his doctoral studies in biophysics the same year at the Department of Biophysics under the Institute of Health Sciences. Since 2010, he has been serving as the Head of the Department of Biophysics at Ege University Faculty of Medicine.

He has authored 41 articles on various topics, presented 106 papers at different conferences, contributed to 2 book chapters, received 10 awards, supervised 8 completed doctoral and master’s theses, and holds 1 patent.
