In 2015, he established the “Traditional and Complementary Medicine Practices Center” under Başkent University Faculty of Medicine. Since 2000, he has served multiple terms on the Ministry of Health’s Acupuncture Science Council and, most recently in 2017, was elected to the Ministry of Health’s Traditional and Complementary Medicine Science Council, where he continues to serve.

He is the Vice President of the Ankara Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Association and a board member of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS). He has published 45 articles on acupuncture indexed in SCI, SCI-Expanded, and other international indices.
