After 20 years as an active eye surgeon, he encountered Functional Medicine during his journey to heal his own rheumatoid arthritis. Spending 1.5 years in the United States, he attended the training and meetings of various groups with different approaches before returning to Turkey. He introduced the concept of Functional Medicine to the country with a book he wrote for doctors.

To nurture the seed he planted, he established the Functional Medicine Academy (FTA), where he trained nearly 1,000 doctors from various specialties in Functional Medicine according to his unique synthesis. His next goal is to promote the FTA approach to Functional Medicine worldwide through educational books for doctors and to transform FTA into an international center.
