He holds doctoral degrees in Dentistry, Acupuncture, and Oriental Medicine. He is a licensed practitioner in Dentistry (Turkey), Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Massage Therapy (New York). He is a full-time faculty member at Queensborough Community College and serves in adjunct positions at Pacific College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Nassau Community College.

Since 2005, he has worked as an instructor for the Clean Needle Technique examinations under the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) and is also a member of the CCAOM Specialty Panel. He teaches courses on Eastern and Western medical techniques and has previously served as the Chair of the Acupuncture Department and Dean of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the New York College of Health Professions.
